Mrs Wehbie had a kind, loving spirit. She was an inspiration to all of us. She always smiled and spoke to EVERYONE at Holy Trinity. I'm sorry that I cannot be with her family and her many friends as she is laid to rest today, but I will light a candle in her memory in church. She will not be forgotten. May her memory be ever eternal. ☦️🙏

Georgette has been my neighbor since I moved into the neighborhood in 2000. And a few years ago, I started with physical training. She had fallen in her yard and could not get up by herself. The initial goal of training was to teach her how to do that. I will not forget the day when she had succeeded. I still hear her words: "How about that!" She was so proud, and I had come to believe that she gave demos to the family. I will miss her smile and her unfailing kindness.

Everyone will dearly miss Tant Georgette as we do Uncle Sam. I have fond memories as a young boy spending the day with David and Bobby and Charles too. Running in the sprinkler and eating special goodies! The Wehbies were some of our first and dearest friends upon moving to Raleigh in 1966. Always kind and generous and incredibly giving. And of course, Uncle Sam with his great humor, his funny jokes. A wonderful Lady will be remembered and cherished by all.

Georgette was a truly great lady. She always had a warm welcome and smile - regardless of what was going on around her - for everyone she encountered. I have known her for almost forty years and enjoyed singing alongside of her and great discussions. She will be missed; and she will also be remembered. May her memory be eternal!
