I only knew George a short time, but appreciated his willingness to help a fellow numismatist with a publication. He not only agreed to write a foreword to my book but provided much knowledge about the subject matter. I was sorry to see a notice of his passing just recently and send my sympathy to the family. George had an incredible effect on my career and my life. His trust in me, when he and I worked together at Dupont in Research Triangle Park, gave me the confidence to reach the career heights I have reached. George, my eternal gratitude - thanks.
