I have lost a dear friend and a brother figure you might say, because he came into my life through my brother Norbert when we were all in high school at Thornton Township High School in Harvey, Ill. Frank spent a lot of time at our house even to the point that my brother asked my mom and dad if Frank could stay at our house for a short time because he and his dad were not seeing eye to eye on things and things at home with his dad were difficult. Frank lost his mom early on and so his dad became the only one who Frank had as family. Over the years, my husband Wayne and I have kept in close touch with Frank and always asked about how his family was doing. He stayed at our house in Crown Point, IN several times when he got together with his family for their family reunions. We had the pleasure of having Pat at our house also. Frank came to our 50th wedding anniversary celebration in 2009. I was glad that I was able to talk to him in January to find out how he was doing. I will miss not being able to call him but at the same time he is in a better place considering his failing health. Eternal Rest Grant on to you Frank and Let the Perpetual Light Shine on you. Frank and I were in High School at Thornton together. We were both members of the Civil Air Patrol as Cadets and joined the Marines and went through boot camp together. After graduation from boot camp, I was selected for NAVCAD training, but failed the final eye test. By that time we had been assigned to different paths within the Corps,.and our paths never crossed again unfortunately. I remember him as a good person and a special friend. Rest in peace my friend. "Semper Fi". You will be missed!

Hi my name is Kayla and I am a local bible teacher. I am so sorry for the loss of your loved one. There is a very comforting scripture at Isaiah 25:8. It says that soon Jehovah will swallow up death forever and that he will wipe away all of the tears. So we can all look forward to a time when death will be no more. I hope that this scripture can bring some true comfort during these difficult times.

Pat, Sarah, Dawn and the rest of Frank's family. We are so sorry for your loss. Frank was so full of life, humor and was so very generous and a gracious host! We visited him, I remember, in Dallas/Fort Worth on the way to Mexico and stayed with him a number of times. I remember the house in Waterloo and visits there as well. Frank was always ready with a word or story; good memories!! A great loss. May God bless you with His comfort and peace.

Frank and Pat were so very supportive of my family during a hard time--such good friends. You have my sympathy.

Mr. Frank will be missed so much. I only knew him a short time but he was such a warm and caring man. I would go walk his beloved Fiachra for him and the love he showed for that dog spoke volumes about his character. I would sit and talk with Mr. Frank after Fiachra's walk and will miss those talks. My thoughts are with his family. Terri Atkinson

As a younger boy I always thought Cousin Frank was so cool because he had model airplanes hanging from his bedroom ceiling. Then when I found out he built that no kit, from scratch, built to scale huge aircraft carrier I wasn't surprised because he was still very cool. He was a Good Man!
