Mr. Forrest F. (Bob) Tomlin, 80, of Raleigh NC, formerly of Canton/Sugarcreek, Ohio passed away on March 29, 2024 following an extended hospital stay. He was the son of the late Homer T. Tomlin and the late F. Justine Tomlin. Bob was born on April 26, 1943 in Olive Hill, KY. He grew up in Canton, Ohio and entered military service out of high school. He was a sharp shooter, and while in Korea had secret clearance.

He was united in marriage to Penny Hershberger of Walnut Creek, Ohio in October, 1976. They were blessed with two wonderful children, Michael (Mallory) Tomlin of Blue Bell PA and Pamela Tomlin of Raleigh NC who survive him. He is also survived by two children from a former marriage. Joseph Tomlin and Rena Tomlin Kinsinger both of Canton, Ohio, two sisters, Gail (Robert) Rownd of Canton, Ohio and Charlotte (Charles) Lyke of Fort Myers, Florida as well as grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousins, and many good friends.

Bob loved football and baseball. He was a longtime little league coach and avid Ohio State football fan. He worked in brick production in Sugarcreek, Ohio.

The favorite part of his day was early morning when he drove to Starbucks to meet with his good friends Ed and Debby and spend quality time with them discussing just about anything and everything.

He is already so greatly missed by so many people!
