Obituary For Erich John Wilkinson

Erich John Wilkinson, 63, died Friday, December 20, 2024, in Raleigh, North Carolina. He was born on May 14, 1961, in Winston-Salem, to Richard and Helen Wilkinson. Erich grew up in Winston-Salem graduating from RJ Reynolds High School. He graduated from UNC-Charlotte with a degree in Architecture and went on to complete his architectural education at NC State.

After graduating from NC State, Erich remained in Raleigh, working for several architectural firms. Erich’s career path eventually led him to open his own business, Wilkinson Design. After years as a practicing architect, Erich’s reputation for good design, vision, and problem-solving resulted in successful projects, many of which are in the Raleigh area.

Erich is survived by his wife of 36 years, Jenni Perdue Wilkinson; two sons and daughter-in-law, Zeke Lawrence and April L Humphries and Owen Spencer; one brother, Mark Wilkinson, and grandchildren: Dakota Joseph, Cameron Richard, and Benjamin Clark.

A service of Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Raleigh at 11 am. (4801 Six Forks Road, Raleigh, NC 27609) Visitation in the church’s Fellowship Hall will follow the service.
