Obituary For Eloise Harrison Jones

Eloise Harrison Jones, 79, of Raleigh, died peacefully while sleeping in her home Wednesday morning, June 4, 2014. She was the daughter of the late, Macon & Ilda Harrison. Eloise was a lifetime and devoted member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and mother in law.

Survived by two sons: Harrison and wife, Phyllis Jones, of Apex; Manley and Rose King, of Raleigh; grandsons: Justin Tyler Jones and Margaret Baumeister of Apex; Jay and April Franks, of Franklinton; Stephen, Brian, and Greg Harrison, of Raleigh; great-grandchildren: Brooklyn Skye and Bentley Jay Franks, of Franklinton; sister: Mucie Mae Harrison Watkins, of Coats.

Visitation will be held Saturday, 11:00am, June 7, 2014 at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, Raleigh NC. Service to follow at 12:30 PM. Interment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.

    I am sorry for the loss of your dear Eloise. During times like this our God gives each one of us a very real hope of actually enjoying life with our passed loved ones once again right here on this good earth. At John 5:28 and 29 Jesus himself tells us that those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out to a resurrection of life, similar to how he resurrected his friend Lazarus. Lazarus was resurrected back to life on earth. That is in harmony with God's original purpose for humans, to "fill the earth and subdue it". (Genesis 1:28) God's original purpose for humans has not changed. To see our passed loved ones again on a beautified earth is a hope few dare to dream about, much less firmly believe in.
