Eleanor Louise Evans Rohrer 91, formally of Newport News, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday June 13, 2012 surrounded by her family. She was born on April 16, 1921 in New Castle , Pa. to the late William and Louise Evans. She lived 41 years in Newport News, Va. and recently lived at Abbotswood Assisted Living in Raleigh, NC. She was preceded in death by her 8 siblings. She survived by her husband of 63 years William Rohrer, son William Rohrer and his wife Vicky of Raleigh, NC, a daughter LouAnn Thompson and her husband Monty of Christiansburg, Va. Three grandchildren; Olivia and Lucy Rohrer of Raleigh, NC and Ellie Thompson of Christiansburg, Va. Two step grandchildren; Chelsey Woodrum of Greenville NC. and Tyler Woodrum of Winston-Salem NC. Funeral services will be held at the Peninsula Memorial Cemetery , Warwick Blvd, Newport News, Va. at 3 o'clock at the Chapel.
