Nana, I immediately connected to you and Grandad, as we talked about our New England roots. I remember sitting on the porch in Lewes and you spent time to get to know me. Our visit to see you and Grandad in Raleigh was also a special time, and as soon as we arrived you pulled out warm, freshly baked muffins. We love you and will miss you dearly.

I am so grateful to have been able to hold you and tell you what a wonderful mom you have been. You were so strong in the end as you were in life. Your love, beauty, kindness ,strength, class. And especially your high fashion, are the memories I will have of you. Tell dad we all miss him and be happy together again.
