Obituary For Doris E. Dunst

Doris E. Dunst 89 Born March, 24th 1927 Of Lake Wylie SC passed away peacefully on Jan. 11th. 2017 She was born and raised in Kingsford, Michigan, Married Robert H Dunst, and then resided in Thiensville, WI. before moving to Raleigh, NC. with her husband and 3 sons where she spent 45 yrs. Doris is predeceased by her husband Robert H Dunst, parents Elmer H. and Anna Van Boven, brother Walter Van Boven and, Elmer Van Boven, and sister Elizabeth Kondro Doris is survived by her sister Jean P. Frye, sons, Robert Dunst, Richard L. Dunst and Deborah, Russell Dunst and his wife Jeanette. Grandchildren Carl Dunst, Jason Dunst, Jessica Dunst, Stephanie Mayle and Rene Dunst as well as 14 great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews The family of Mrs, Dunst would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Lake Wylie Assisted Living for their compassionate care during the past year and a half. The Memorial will be at Renaissance Funeral Home at 12 pm Saturday for visitation followed by a Memorial Service at 1 pm

    Doris was such a lovely person and wanted to live on her own for as long as possible. She was kind and sweet, and she and my mother became friends when she initially was in the assisted living environment. I didn't know that she had passed away - we stayed in touch and I visited her periodically until she moved and I did not know where she went. My mother died shortly thereafter. I am glad I got to know Doris.

    Not even sure where to begin since there are so many. One of my favorites was listening to Miss Doris tell me how she used to love watching the kids jump on the trampoline through her kitchen window. She said it always brought a smile to her face. She will be missed by all the Barnes family for sure.
