Donald Dubois passed away after a short illness in Raleigh, NC. He was predeceased by Mary, his wife of 60 years, and survived by five children: Steven, Susan, Nancy, Richard, and Alan. His brother Harold lives in Arizona.

Don was born in Worcester, MA and lived there for many years before joining IBM in 1955 and moving with Mary to the Kingston and Binghamton areas of NY. Then, in 1965, along with their four children, they were part of the first wave of IBMers to move to the Raleigh area. Don worked for IBM for 40 years, and the family was one of the founding families of Saint Raphael, the Archangel Catholic Church. Don was very active in the church, serving on the board, organizing church picnics and volunteering in many other capacities. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus for most of his life, serving one term as State Deputy and serving as treasurer of his chapter for many years.

Don enjoyed playing bridge, umpiring, softball for many years, going on cruises late in life with Mary, and spending time with family and friends met through his volunteer work. He had a smile for everyone he came in contact with and will be greatly missed.

A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church in Raleigh, NC on November 21, 2023 at 11:00am.
