I've always heard people complain about Mother in Law's and fortunately I hit the jackpot in that department. When my mother was close to passing away Lori made sure to tell her I'd never want for a mother's love. She made good on that promise. She loved me as her own and the last few minutes I spent with her will remain close to my heart forever. She is deeply missed as there's a whole in the family that she left that can never be filled.

Lori and I became friends 34 years ago when she moved across the street from us in Highland Lakes. The thing is with Lori once she became your friend she would always be your friend. We had quite a few adventures together. Especially our road trips. You never knew what to expect. I am grateful that Lori was my friend. We have shared so much together. I will truly miss you Lori. Love you, Jo

As I said earlier, I remember when Lori was born. Although we were not blood relatives, we were a close knit family that lived in the same apartment house. The Nelson-Johnson family were very close, and Lori was the first grandchild to be born. As they say in Swedish, SOV I RO. Sleep in peace.

Dearest Lori, you will be missed so much by us. Having you next door for almost 12 years was a blessing. We will always see you in your chair in the garden gazebo. Evening drinks and tasty snacks won't be the same - but you will hopefully always be with us in spirit. You were an amazing woman, loved by many and a friend to all who crossed your path. We'll always remember you with much love - Mary & Bob.

Lori was my first cousin on my Dad's side. Elwood (my Dad) and Robert (Lori's Dad) were brothers. We spent lots of time together as a family, picnics, swimming at Vasa Park (boy, that pool water sure was cold, but we didn't care). I especially remember Christmases at Uncle Bob and Aunt Ele's house. The tree was so pretty, especially the bubble lights. To this day I have bubble lights too. And eating Aunt Ele's Swedish pancakes. I can still taste them. I will miss Lori's vivid imagination and curious mind. She was always thinking of something new that was going on and have a story to go along with it. She was a wonderful Mother, Sister, and Cousin. Love and Miss you Cuz Cherie .

Lori was an amazing friend to me. She was always there to talk with me about anything, to laugh, and to give me advice. She had the best laugh, the best stories, and was a true friend. She was an incredibly good person and I will miss her dearly.

There is always a strange feeling about people and memories.I had taken distance from my previous life not only in where I live but in those I followed and knew.It saves you at times from a lot of pain in not knowing the fates of people you knew.In Loris case,I will always remember her as the young, cute blond with the friendly smile and a free spirit and I will keep that memory for as long as I am around. All my love to her family, the people I know and the people who surrounded her.Strength and peace to all.Gordon
