Obituary For Diane Emelia Townsend

Diane Emelia Townsend, age 79, of Raleigh, NC died on June 25, 2021.

Diane was born in Queens, NY to the late Richard Wilson Townsend and Evelyn Johanna Jarrow Townsend.

Diane spent her life helping others as a nurse, and was loved by everyone who knew her. She was the neighbor that always made everyone feel welcome. Diane was always smiling and she had a unique talent to recognize the good in everyone. Besides her work as a nurse, she enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.

Diane is survived by two childrenRobert George Myers (Ann) and Debbie Ann Moore (William); five grandchildren, Jayne Myers (Nolan), Rachel Myers, Lauren Brice, Shawn Henry (Viviana) and Robert Ippolito and four great-grandchildren, Brianna Brice, Kasandra Maddox, Joshua Henry and Vincent Henry.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Salvation Army and/or the SPCA.
