Dena Ann Figura Keenan, 54, of Raleigh, NC passed away at her home on May 10, 2024 after a tough battle with cancer. She was born in Yonkers, NY on July 19, 1969 to loving parents Andrea and Ray Figura.

Dena attended White Plains High School in White Plains, NY. Following her graduation, she pursued a career in the beauty industry and was the proud owner of a salon for 10 years thereafter in Hawthorne, NY. She then sold her salon to be a full time home-maker, devoting her time and her life to her family.

Dena married Tom Keenan on March 16, 1996. This union was blessed with two children, Jessica and Jason. For 28 years, she shared a bond with Tom that was a testament to the power of true love and partnership. Their journey together spanned over four decades, filled with laughter, shared dreams, and unwavering support for one another.

Family meant everything to Dena and she cherished every moment spent with loved ones.

One of Dena's greatest joys was going on trips with her family. Whether it was the serenity of a beach vacation or the magic of Disney, every adventure was treasured. Additionally, Dena and her family shared a passion for the Carolina Hurricanes and often cheered on their team from the stands.

Dena had a zest for life that extended to her dedication to health and fitness, evident in her daily exercise routine. Yet, her most enduring legacy lies in the lives she touched with her kindness and compassion. Her genuine concern for others and her ability to lift spirits with a single gesture will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Dena was more than a wife, mother, sister, or friend. She was the embodiment of warmth, kindness, and unwavering love.

Dena was preceded in death by her sister Anita Caldarola of New Fairfield, CT.

Her life will forever be cherished in the lives of her husband, Tom Keenan, and her children, Jessica Keenan and Jason (Chloe) Keenan of Raleigh, NC; sister, Andrea (Rob) Lichtenberger of Patterson, NY; parents, Andrea and Ray Figura of Garner, NC.

A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 17, 2024, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at Renaissance Funeral Home, 7615 Six Forks Road, Raleigh, NC 27615.
