I met David at the bar b que in the condos at Briercreek CC..I used to give him a jab as to what he was cooking. He was a great neighbor and a very good man. Thad DeGroot

I first met David in 2009 when i first played on the AmTour. I was, and am still, impressed with David's welcoming and friendly approach to all he interacted with. Over the years, as my family grew, David was always most interested in what was going on with my life, work, golf, etc. I specifically recall a round he and I played with my father in 2010 and ever since he'd always ask about my dad and how he was. He always seemed to be most interested in others lives, rather than his own. Over the years I played many rounds with David and he always approached the game with youthful exuberance and a joy just to be "out there". As I play tomorrow I will carry David's memory in my thoughts as we play one more round together, although he'll be on a course where there are no bogies. David always spoke very lovingly of his nephew and niece. I know they meant the world to him and am sure they will miss him greatly. To David's family, I pass on heartfelt condolences from my wife and me. Hit 'em straight my friend!

I met David when I first started on the GCAmTour in 2010. I had the fortune,or should I say mis-fortune of competing against him, in which he disposed of me in pretty quick order. David was a proven winner on the golf course and I'm positive he was even more of a winner off the course. I'm truly sorry for your loss.

Please accept my sympathies for your loss. We will miss David and his gentle soul. I will miss his great attitude and his caring spirit. He was an inspiration on and off the golf course. May the love of family and friends sustain you in these difficult days.

David was a good golfer, but an even greater friend! I admired his passion for golf, but his friendship is what I will always treasure! Just sayin' one birdie to another!

This has been a very, very difficult couple of days, as we lost a dear friend to his battle with cancer. David was one of the greatest men and friends that a person could ever know. David you will be missed dearly and those of us associated with the Carolinas Tour Golf Channel Am Tour will see to it that your passion for the game will not be forgotten. We will be starting a non-profit organization (The David Julio Memorial Scholarship Fund) to help assist incoming students, with their expenses, entering the Golf Academy of America program pursuing a career in the golf profession. We love you my friend....fairways and greens!!

"...it's a sad day, but not a bad day", as our former Pastor used at memorial services. Such it is with David's passing. One could not ask for a better neighbor. Such a delightful young man and wonderful to be around. We all know that Christ promised that he was going to prepare a place for us, and would return for us. This means David's place was completed and his now walking the streets of gold. He likely is looking for a golf course to practice on, so as to improve and perfect his game. He will be sorely missed by Brenda and I both---he was a delightful neighbor to have known these past 6 years. May God surround his family with his Love and Peace during this time. Ron & Brenda Treece
