Obituary For David Marshall Hogg
David Marshall Hogg, of The Oaks of Mayview, passed away on July 10, 2013 at the age of 80.
Child of God, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. R. Hogg, brother of Douglas R., husband of Marianne Berry Hodges, father of Kathleen Frances Hogg, grandfather of David C. Mahler and "uncle" to many.
"...Ring them bells, oh won't you ring them bells, they are ringing out the Glory of the Lord."
Memorial service will take place at St. James UMC on Saturday, July 20th at 2pm. A luncheon will precede the service only for family and out-of-town guests at 12:30pm.
Family requests no flowers, visits, phone calls, or food, to the family home or the church.
Donations can be made at the service to the St. James UMC Building Fund.

Dear Family and friends of the deceased, I am very sorry for your loss, losing a loved one is a devastating event in ones life. We all want to spend our lives with those we love, and death gets in the way of that. In the bible god promises us everlasting life on a paradise earth and a chance to see our dead loved ones again. (Revelation 21 verses 4, 5) God also said that nobody will say I am sick (Isaiah 33:24) You see, all of us have a chance to live endlessly and perfectly with no ailing diseases or bad people on a paradise earth. I hope this has comforted you, and may your loved one rest in peace.

I would like to express my sincere condolences for your loss. I hope your family and friends will find comfort in knowing the hope that Jesus holds out for all those who are now sleeping in death; the resurrection(Acts 24:15)when the dead will be raised up and restored back to life, with the prospect of eternal life, on the renewed Paradise earth.-John 5:28,29; Luke 23:43.
