I only met Dave about 3 or 4 months ago even though we worked in the same building for 12 years. We would pass each other from time to time and exchange the courteous nod and such. When his manager asked if he could share my personal cancer fight with Dave, I easily obliged. We immediately formed a bond and it pains me to write this as we never met outside of work to share our experiences even further. His smile and positivity has left it's mark on me and he will not be forgotten. My condolences to his family. Glenn Holland

I've known David through work for the better part of 15 years...He was always smiling and extremely courteous and just an overall nice guy. Even going through the battle with cancer he was still smiling and upbeat when we would talk in the hallways. I didn't know his family, but he represented and carried himself as someone I would have been proud to call my family member. My deepest sympathy in this time of sorrow. Brandon N.

I had the honor to meet Dave and Cathy several times when I was in NC. He was always so happy and full of fun. I know he was a wonderful family man and friend to people he knew. He will be missed, but I know he is in heaven looking down on his family and friends with that awesome smile.

I first met David when I joined John Deere Turf Care in 2013. David 's character was evident immediately: a strong willed cheerful fellow with a strong family. We also used to jockey for first through the traffic of Raleigh as we both traveled home from Fuquay-Varina. I recently witnessed this strong family through Cathy's encouragement and support for David during his difficult times. Despite the challenges, David remained cheerful and optimistic. David: a very nice fellow. We miss you. Sincere condolences from Simon Cobb.

I met David at John Deere Turf Care. He was such a kind and caring person. He fought his cancer battle courageously and with a positive outlook. He would often come into the office and get candy at the Spec Department. He loved his chocolate! Prayers for the family. I know your hearts are hurting so hold onto those great memories.
