Clyde “Sonny” Kellum from Raleigh, NC went home to be with his Heavenly Father, without warning, on Saturday December 17, 2022. Sonny was the loving husband of Barbara Paderick Kellum, formerly of Kinston, NC. He would have celebrated his 84th birthday on December 21st. He is survived by children: Kay Dean, Kim Oliver, Ken Kellum and Matthew Kellum; Stepchildren: Eva Lipscomb, Tommy Maris and Sandra Hand; 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and loving wife Barbara Paderick Kellum. Sonny served his country in the Alabama National Guard, Graduated from University of Alabama with a Medical Technology Degree and retired from Glaxo/Smith/Kline Inc. He was an avid pilot and flight instructor. Sonny was an active member of Bay Leaf Baptist Church and Joy 3 Sunday School Class in Raleigh, NC. Sonny was also an active participant in the Exodus Life Group of 902 Church in Kinston, NC. He will be remembered for his immense love for his wife, vast knowledge and wit, wonderful smile and famous “one liners”.

A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at 902 Church, 2009 Carey Rd Kinston, NC on January 22, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. with Pastors Rick and Ryan Vernon officiating.
