Obituary For Clayton C. Cockburn
Clayton Cockburn, son of the late Harold and Hannah Cockburn of St. Andrew, Jamaica W.I., passed away peacefully at the William Dunlap Transition Life Care Center in Raleigh.For the past 40 years, he resided in the United States (North Carolina, California, and New Jersey) He fought a courageous battle with cancer for the past two years and on Sunday, September 14, 2014 the Lord called him to his final resting place. He was the third to last sibling in hierarchy of twelve children.
Funeral service will be held 10am Sunday, Sept. 21, 2014 at Renaissance Funeral Home, 7615 Six Forks Road, Raleigh, NC 27615. Interment follows at Raleigh Memorial Park at 7501 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27612.
The family is grateful for the respectful, tender and compassionate care given to Clayton in the last couple of months of his life by the Cancer Center of North Carolina, Dr. Stephen Tremont and nurses.We are eternally grateful to the doctors and the nurses at Rex Hospital who tirelessly worked on the fifth floor to ensure he was comfortable.
