Our entire family has enjoyed getting to know Chris throughout this year. He is a sweet soul, and easy to be around, and we always looked forward to his visits. I remember fondly one beautiful fall day when he found his way to our screen porch for a siesta. Even with lively children running about, and maybe even on him, he snoozed. We'll always leave a napping place open for you buddy. Peaceful journey. Love, Tom, Sharon, Julianna, and Jackson

Chris, my cousin, you have left us way too soon for us to be able to comprehend. Your smile, laughter and intellect will be greatly missed. May God grant your family solice and grace with understanding during this time of loss. God Bless. Love your cousin, Michael & Family

I am so sorry for your loss. Chris was a delightful person who always had a cheerful laugh to provide. I am not sure I ever heard him utter a single negative word. We met at NCSU in Archery class during my sophomore year. Due to Chris' vision issues, I had to keep him "on target" and fully safe with a deadly weapon. This sparked a friendship that I believe was meant to be by God. I later found out that Chris was great friends with one of my closest high school buddies (Shawn McInness). My heart is very sad that I will not get to hear that boisterous laugh ever again. I only hope that I can live life to the fullest, just like Chris seemed to do every time I was around him. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
