Obituary For Charlotte Taylor Alexander

Mrs. Charlotte Taylor Alexander, 77, of Raleigh, North Carolina passed away suddenly on September 7, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Stephen W. and Louise Taylor. Charlotte was born October 31, 1941 in High Point, North Carolina. She attended the public schools of Portland, Oregon where her parents moved when she was six years old. She was a 1964 graduate of Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon.

On June 24, 1967, she wed Richard Barnhardt Alexander who survives her. This union was blessed with two children. Her life will be cherished by Steven Craig (Lisa) Alexander of Durham, North Carolina and Christine Diane (Daniel) Ellis of Lookout Mountain, Georgia; seven grandchildren; and sister, Beryl Ann (David) Heusser of Independence, Oregon.

Charlotte had a God-given gift for serving children which she used as a Sunday school teacher of young folks at her church, as an employee at KinderCare Learning Center, and as an assistant kindergarten teacher at Lynn Road Elementary School, all in Raleigh.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 AM on September 14, 2019, Renaissance Funeral Home, 7615 Six Forks Road, Raleigh, NC preceded by a visitation at 9:30 AM. A graveside commitment service will follow at 3:00 PM at Floral Gardens Memorial Park in High Point, NC.

    Our thoughts and prayers are with all the family!! Charlotte was a sweet kind lady and I remember her coming in the City of Raleigh ECU with a smile on her face. We have seen them at the Quarter Century Club for the City of Raleigh often. Much love

    Words cannot express the sadness we feel in the loss of our friend, Charlotte. We have known Charlotte and Dick for many years and have been blessed with their love and friendship. We will always cherish our special memories together. Charlotte was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She was a strong woman of faith, who loved her Lord, her family and her friends.     Dick, There are no words sufficient to encompass the hole that losing Charlotte will leave. Thanks for including us in the notification of her passing. The tribute and service for her was perfect. Tomorrow and in the days to come, try to remember that she is in the arms of Jesus and that our human grief is real.     Words cannot express our grief over the loss of our sweet Charlotte. We have known Charlotte and Dick for many years and have been blessed with their friendship and love. We have so many wonderful memories together and each will forever be treasured in our hearts. Charlotte was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, who cherished her husband, her children and her grandchildren. We are praying for comfort and strength for Dick and all of his family in their tremendous loss. Charlotte was a strong woman of faith, who loved her Lord, her family and her friends.
