Peter & Sandy Modrow remember fondly the times we shared when building our summer dream homes. Chuck and Bev were an inspiration to us and others in the neighborhood. Having dinner together with them and all the children were happy, fun occasions.

My wife Meg, daughter Brittany and I live across the street from Bev. We have many fond memories of Chuck but my most memorable is his Chucks strength. My daughter got engaged last Fall and we had an impromptu engagement party upon their arrival home from Washington, DC. It was really short notice and I walked across the street and invited Chuck and Bev. Chuck wasnt doing that well and they indicated they might try but not sure as it was later in the evening. Later that night to my surprise I see Chuck and Bev walking across the street. Chuck was having a difficult time as my driveway is somewhat steep and he was making multiple stops but looking towards to goal of our sunroom. I immediately went in to my wife and daughter and said, we need to meet Chuck and Bev on the driveway because Chuck didnt seem like he could make it up the stairs to the sunroom. We chatted for awhile while Chuck rested in the driveway and Bev told us to go in and tend to our guests. About 15 minutes later, Chuck and Bev come through our sunroom door and stayed for quite awhile enjoying the moments, food and company. I will never forget that time of strength from Chuck. He was also honored with cutting the ribbon of the Christening of the Falls River Flag Pole across the street in Dunberry Park across from my house. I was honored to participate in that event being a retired Marine Corps Officer and watching Chuck cut that ribbon. I will miss him...

Father, You hold time within your hands, and see it all, from beginning to end. Please keep and carry these precious people in their sadness and loss. Cover them with your great wings of love, give their weary rest and their minds sound sleep. Lord, lift their eyes so that they may catch a glimpse of eternity, and be comforted by the promise of heaven and to be with Chuck again. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus. Our deepest condolences to Bev and the family. All our love, Karen and George Gonsalves
