Obituary For Cecile Fish Prince

Maria Margaret Cecile Teresa Fish Skridulis Prince Desentz Rood

Our beautiful Cecile was called to the Heavens on August 2, 2016. Cecile was born November 3, 1949 in Glens Falls, NY. She was preceded in death by her parents Alfred & Loretta G. Fish, Mother-in-law, Daisy Reeves Prince, daughter, Marlene Dawn Skridulis, husbands, William P. Skridulis, Ronald David Prince, and Richard R. Desentz, sisters, Marlene Robertson and Barbara Prince Morgan, and friend/sister Vickie P. Sherwood.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Rood, her Beloved children Denice Prince and David Prince. Grandchildren; Benjamin Prince-McDade, Ethan Prince, and Ariana Prince. Brothers, Alfred Fish and wife Shirley Paul Fish, and many nieces and nephews.

Cecile retired from E.I. Dupont, RTP after nearly 30 years leaving her connection and dedication impressed on many peoples hearts. She recently resided in Troy, NC, nestled in the Uwharrie Mountains. with her husband Mike. Able to Retire, Rest, and Receive Life's Rewards. She loved having more time to spend with her friends and family and also sweet Nana time with grandkids: Cecile supported and was devoted to many causes, meals for elderly or shut-ins, she attended OUR LADY of the ANNUNCIATION PARISH, under the Very Reverend Peter Fitzgibbons. She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies Society where she made loving friends and memories. Cecile enjoyed volunteering her time to many organizations throughout Montgomery County. She really enjoyed spending time with her dog, Gabriel, who showed up one day seeking a home with another puppy she named Abby. Cecile took them in with her heart of love, like an angel, she named him Gabriel. Cecile had a heart of gold when it came to her kids, and Grandkids! Kind & Generous! When it came to their birthdays ..Cecile made extravagant, detailed ,heart felt cakes & Boy did she make those cakes with thoughtfulness and love for whatever was popular to their liking that year. Cecile cherished her family and friends which was evident from the many special bonds she formed over the years. Bonds with work, church, and fellowships, even the new connections she had made while she was being cared for during her cancer treatments, while keeping her comfortable and stable. As she fought the good fight with love and laughter and sweet surrender, the Dr's, Nurses, Care Takers, Family, and Friends got to witness such a testimony of her energy, love, and graciousness. During this time she was comforted in her surroundings with people who loved her and people who cared! Her ability to let go was so confounding to the very core of her presence. We share with gratitude and kindness our spirits filled to overflowing, and we will be forever humbled by her grace, and her testimony of faith she exhibited. Even in her last breath of life... she gave favor to pain-free comfort and peace in sweet surrender. We will forever be a part of you Mom, Yhoney, Nana, Sister, Aunt, & Friend. You will always be inter-woven as bonds that cannot be broken and forever missed by all who knew you!!

Cecile was a wonderful, caring, positive lady. We are going to miss her energy and love in our neighborhood. I wish this world had more people like her. She was always there when someone needed her! We miss her greatly!
