Catherine A. Kauer passed away on May 18, 2018, at the age of 77. She was a beloved wife of 52 years, a mother of 4, and grandmother of 9. She was a lover of a good laugh and animals.

Catherine is survived by her husband, Alex K. Kauer, Raleigh; children, Eric (Stephanie) Kauer of Kentucky, Paul (Ericka) Kauer of South Carolina, Neil (Jan) Kauer of Belmont, NC and Susan (Mike) DeBender of Raleigh; and her grandchildren, Sam, Phillip, Jake, Emily, Roman, Ava, Dezi, Alex and Liza. She is also survived by her sister, Susan (Rod) Harney and nephew, Stephen (Mary Jo) Galante.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Catherine and sisters; Corinne, Dolores and Joan.

A funeral Mass will take place 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at St. Luke the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Raleigh.
