John, I was very sorry to learn of Carrroll's death when reading the Charlotte paper yesterday. I pulled my old file and immediately many memories came flooding back. We have lost contact over the years, but I remember you and Carroll fondly. I hope your sons are bearing up under this tragedy. Best wishes. Bill McMillan

Dear John, It was with great shock and deep sadness that I read of Carroll's death in the morning paper. Ironically, I dreamed about Carroll last night. I never remember my dreams but I woke this morning with her on my mind and was planning to make another attempt to contact her today. I lost your mailing address. I left messages on Carroll's Facebook page but I don't think she had checked it in a while. I have thought of you both so many times over the years and really miss having you as neighbors. I never thought that I would not have the chance to reconnect. When things settle down, please try to get in touch with us. Please know that our thoughts are with you and your family. I am so sorry for a loss way too soon. With love, Carole

I was saddened to hear of Caroll's passing. She was such a wonderful lady. I knew her for only a short time while in Statesville. God Bless all of her family in your time of sorrow.
