A native of Jamestown, NY, Carl was the son of the late Albert Ellison and Adelia Anderson Ellison. He was a graduate of Jamestown High School and Binghamton University. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired systems analyst for IBM. He also worked for many years at JC Penney�s and as an insurance agent and real estate agent.

Carl is survived by his wife Blanche Ellison; sister Sue Swanson of Florida; daughter Cynthia Ellison of Sarasota, Florida; son Greg Ellison of Las Vegas, Nevada; son Michael Ellison and wife Kim of Clayton, NC; daughters Dana and Andrea L. Ellison of Rolesville, NC; grandsons Michael and Matthew Ellison of Clayton, NC, and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday June 9, 2012 at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church, 12333 Bayleaf Church Rd., Raleigh 27614. Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 AM.
