Cameron Johnson, 61 years of age, of Raleigh, North Carolina passed away from his earthly life into eternal afterlife on August 24th, 2022, after battling gastric cancer since his diagnosis in January 2021. He passed away in the presence of loving family.

Cameron was born on March 6th, 1961, in Brooklyn, New York to mother ‘moms’ Cynthia Allen and father ‘pops’ Ernest Johnson. Cameron is survived by his parents, stepmother Horrie Johnson (Ernest), sister Kima Johnson-Turner (brother-in-law Derrien Turner), brother Kenya Johnson (niece Miracle ‘sweet-pea’ Powell), sister Keisha Johnson (his triplet siblings), twenty-eight (28) maternal 1st cousins, four (4) paternal 1st cousins, many 2nd cousins, extended family and friends.

Cameron had different jobs throughout his time on earth & the two jobs he talked about the most were his position at a pharmaceutical company as a laborer making petri dishes and working as a forklift operator by obtaining his forklift operator certification in 2008.

Cameron was a very spiritual person who studied the Christian Bible, the Islamic Quran, African Philosophy, Egyptology, Astrology, Numerology, and many other spiritual ideologies of life. He believed in having a well-rounded and informed lifestyle.

As a youth Cameron enjoyed roller-skating, playing basketball with his younger brother, going to Yankees baseball games and spending time with his cousins. As a young adult Cameron found happiness in being a disc jockey (DJ), hosting & grilling at cookouts and dancing! As an older adult Cameron found joy in listening to his music, playing pool (billiards), enjoying nature and fishing. Cameron was an easy-going guy with a kind heart & soul who was also admired for being impeccably dressed at all times.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for September 9th, 2022 at 2:30pm at Renaissance Funeral Home located 7615 Six Forks Rd, Raleigh, NC 27615. Peace & Blessings. Cameron and I had many wonderful times together that a will never forget. Going on boat rides, seeing the Temptations and four tops,just to name a few. While working together on our job,MLK day Cameron decided he would take the day off,that was before it became a national holiday, Cameron did things his way.

1 st Cousin China. I remember growing up in Brooklyn, myself, Cameron and Ricque would take baths together as toddlers. I also remember Cameron taking me to the Roller Skating rink and I was so intimidated by how fast the skaters were going and Cameron was right up in that mix. I will love and miss him.
