Calvin Thomas, 82 passed away Saturday, February 16, 2013, after a battle with cancer. He was born September 6, 1930 in Lubbock, Texas, to Matt and Geneva Thomas. He moved to Wake Forest, NC in May, 2012. He attended Roosevelt Public High School in Lubbock, TX. Most of his life he resided in Lubbock, TX. While there, he took care of his mother and enjoyed his friends. He also resided in Fredericksburg, VA a good part of his life working hard to take care of his family He is survived by one sibling, Jim Thomas and his wife Bonnie, of Springfield, MO. He had 4 children Vicky (maiden name) Thomas, of TX, Jack Thomas, and his wife Michele, of Richmond, TX, Sheri Merrill, and her husband, George (Sonny) of Wake Forest, NC and Gwen Hernandez, and her fiance, Pete Rubio of Raleigh, NC. He had two grandchildren, Mathew Marx and Samantha Potter and many step grandchildren. He also had two great-grandchildren.
