Condolences

Brenda and I taught together at Sunrise Drive Elem. School. She was one of the first to greet me as a new teacher. I will always remember her warm welcome, inviting me over for lunch and offering me her plan book from the year before to help guide me as a first year teacher. She was always eager to give of herself and had a caring heart. I am glad to hear that her retirement years were so fulfilling, both with Bart and after his passing. My sincere condolences to Jen and her family.

I met Brenda & Bart when I moved to the Hawthorne Community. We shared many many fabulous evenings together. After Bart's passing, we continued to enjoy Brenda's company. For her 75th birthday, we flocked her entire front yard with flamingoes. She totally loved it. She had such a zest for life! This photo of her is a great representation of her ever flowing spirit. I was truly blessed that my life touched hers. She will be missed by many.
