In the still of the evening, Betty Nickel, known to her family as Bah-Bah, passed peacefully in her sleep. May God grant her the eternal and explicit peace of Heaven.

Betty, a native of Raleigh, was CFO for Carolina Components and for Goldston’s Building Supply in Raleigh for almost 20 years. After her retirement her lifelong passion of bridge earned her Life Master and Bronze Life Master Achievement Certificates.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald Nickel and her parents, William and Odessa Kelly of Garner.

She is survived by her three daughters Kimberly Garten of Raleigh, Kelly Garten Martin of Benson, and Karen Garten Pavlinac of Raleigh, her nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

A private celebration of life service will be held for her immediate family. Entombment will be at Raleigh Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to your favorite charity.
