Obituary For Betty Jeanne Miller

Betty Jeanne Miller passed away peacefully on August 31, 2019, at the age of 92, surrounded by all her loved ones. She was born in April 1927 in Cleveland, Ohio and married her longtime love, Richard Miller. Her late brother, Robert Morehouse, was the apple of her eye.

Betty was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She was supportive and encouraging to all who knew her. When finances were tight, Betty was resourceful, always able to stretch a dollar, put together a meal with whatever was in the cupboard, make clothes for the children or curtains for her house. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. Her creative nature was apparent in everything she did; from teaching art to the children at SAS Camp to using nature to inspire her painting. Betty had a long-time career with SAS Institute as an Administrative Assistant using the lost art of shorthand.

She was a loving and devoted mother to Dean, Dianne, Jeffrey and Susan; along with her four grandchildren, Joshua, Brandon, Brooks and Kaity; plus her four great grandchildren, Bowen, Maverick, Mason and Eli.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at two o'clock in the afternoon at Renaissance Funeral Home in Raleigh, NC.
