Benjamin Vincent Uvino passed away on October 4, 2018, at the age of 71.

He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Benjamin, also known as Pop and Big Ben, had many interests - among them old cars, motorcycles, good food and wine, classic Westerns, and playing cards - and he was, above all else, a devoted family man. Pop went for a motorcycle ride, something he truly loved doing, on the afternoon of Thursday, October 4th. An accident took place that ended his life here on Earth, and we can only hope and pray that his passing was quick and painless and he is now looking over all of us from Heaven, reunited with family and friends who have gone before him. He would not want us to mourn his death; help to honor his wish by remembering the good times you have had with him and keeping his memory and spirit alive.

Ben is survived by his wife, Theresa; children, Nicole (Brent), Benjamin and Christopher; grandchildren, Christian, Zachary, Sophie and Anthony; siblings, Henry (Elaine) and Danny; and a large loving family of nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Vincent Uvino and Nina Giattini, and his siblings Tina, Filomena, and Carmine.

Visitations will be held on October 9, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. and October 10, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Renaissance Funeral Home in Raleigh. The funeral mass will take place on October 10, 2018 at 3:30pm at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Raleigh.
