Beatrice May Avery was born in the city of Dansville, New York, in 1931 to parents, the late William and Cora Selbig.

She was preceded in death by three siblings, Clyde Selbig, Joyce Selbig, Aileen Selbig and one son, William Avery.

She is survived by two children and their spouses: Robert Avery (Mary Ann) and Frank Avery (Diane Steele); five grandchildren, Shelby Prince, Jeremy Grooms, Cora Avery, Sarah Avery, and Melissa Avery; and many great- grandchildren.

Bea loved children. She made hats and scarves for her own children and grandchildren. Also, she enjoyed donating hundreds of them to children all over the world and her local Boys & Girls Clubs.
