Dr. Basil Derrick Nwosu, fondly known to many as Derrick or Dr. Derrick was born on June 14, 1941 and departed this world on November 13, 2017. He was the third child in a family of twelve born to the late Chief Isaac I. Nwosu and the late Lolo Philomena A. Nwosu of Achina in Aguata Local Government of Anambra State in Nigeria. He came from a noble lineage of people of great faith and distinction.

He was married to Dr. Veronica Chima Nwosu and they are blessed with four wonderful children: Ijeoma Yvonne Nwosu, Arinze Clement Nwosu, Nkem Derrick Nwosu, and Chiedu Victor Nwosu.

In later years, Derrick discovered an entrepreneurial spirit that he explored in the areas of Education and Computer Technology Consulting.

Derrick valued his faith and family above all else. His devotion to and love for his family was strong and unshakeable. He will be greatly missed. May he Rest In Peace.
