Barbara Rose Clardy, age 85, of Raleigh, NC peacefully passed away on September 16, 2021.

She was the daughter of the late Herbert and Mildred Wood of Huntington Station, NY.

Barbara was united in marriage to the love of her life, Charles Denton Clardy on October 10, 1954. They were blessed with two children, Charles S. Clardy (Sharon) and Sharon Clardy Benham (William) all of Raleigh, NC.

She is survived by her two children as well as her two beautiful grandchildren, Jason Clardy (Anna) and Megan Clardy. She is also survived by her sister, Carol Ann Benedetto (Frank), of upstate New York.

Barbara and her family lived many places around the world with her husband who served in the U.S. Air Force for 30 years. Barbara retired from Pathmark in N.Y. and enjoyed reading her Bible, singing, attending church and was a member of a ladies group the "Silver Bells."

Barbara and Charles were married for over 50 years.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
