I have many great memories of Aunt Audrey and her family at Sand Lake. Also, visiting her in St. Louis as a young teen and enjoying her homemade cream puffs on the first night. She had a way of making you feel special. Her voice was soothing and uplifting.

There are so many memories of Audrey. She was a dear friend and adopted Morher to me! I am truly blessed to have been a part of her life. I will miss her forever!

I recall looking so forward each summer to Aunt Audrey & Uncle Bill visiting Kingston. Aunt Audrey always took time to play with all the the nieces and nephews, a game of hide & go seek on John St. was almost a guaranteed ritual. Looking back now I'm most certain that each and every niece & nephew thought they were Aunt Audrey's favorite, as that's exactly how she made us feel.Aunt Audrey taught me how apply lip stick, and gently taught that less is often more. Aunt Audrey was an elegant woman who was a warm and empathetic listener. She had the ability to make you feel like you were the only person of concern when she was speaking with you. One of my earliest memories of her, was of visiting her and Uncle Bill at a cottage in Ontario. She would buy 2-3 different pies for dinner and the best part was that she would let us try each one! Aunt Audrey was the sweetest host for us when we spent a week with her and uncle Bill in Raleigh. There was never a dull moment, even when we were relaxing in the sun room over looking the lake, or playing euchre. There was never a shortage of good southern cooking, and the love was endless. The memories we share of Audrey, our dear sister-in-law, are special and many. The times our families spent together at Sand Lake when our families were young, the times and great meals we had together at Gaston Lake, the times we met in Kingston, Ontario with Bill's family, the memories we have of being together in Raleigh. We will not forget them. We think of the fish frys,the games of euchre, the walks when we discussed family, listening to good music in quiet times, and of course the sports events we watched together on television. We will miss Audrey and we are particularly thankful that she was part of our family's life and that we had a visit with her last week. May she rest in peace. Aunt Jean and Uncle Gary.

I do not have any direct memories of Nee Nee Wilks, but I know Diane, her beloved daughter, loved her so much and was the most devoted daughter (as was her husband Jerry) anyone could ever want. I met Nee Nee a couple of times with her husband Bill when they came to take Diane to lunch at Cato Research. It was always lots of fun to see them if only for 5 minutes. A lovely woman who will be greatly missed by her family. Trisha Whelan
