I just wanted to let you all know that we are very sorry for your great loss for now, but also reassure you that it is only temporary. If I have ever met a man that I had no doubt of his destiny, Mr. Art would be it. Even though I only had the privilege of visiting with Art a few times, he left a very strong impression on me from the first time I met him. As I read some of the other post on here, I saw one term used to describe him that was perfect, "Gentle Giant". The first time we met at Steve and Kim's he was so kind to my young son and had such patience with him, he truly was a Gentle Giant. I truly appreciated his kindness and had the utmost respect for this very strong Godly man and know that he is waiting on all of you with a smile sitting at the right hand of his father. If there is anything we can do please do not hesitate to call. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

My deepest and sincerest condolences to the family of Art Schumacher. This is a poem entitled "Tribute On The Passing Of A Very Real Person." People are of two kinds, and he Was the kind I'd like to be. Some preach their virtues, and a few Express their lives by what they do; That sort was he. No flowery phrase Or glibly spoken word of praise Won friends for him. He wasn't cheap Or shallow, but his course ran deep, And it was pure. You know the kind. Not many in life you find Whose deeds outrun their words so far That more than what they seem, they are. Arthur Unknown. After watching Mr. Schumacher from the congregation at Celebration Family Church especially during the times of his battles with cancer, this poem describes what I observed. May God's comfort and peace be with you.
