Obituary For Arman Guerra Imani

Arman Guerra Imani, 31, of Chapel Hill, NC passed away peacefully at home on March 29, 2023. He is the beloved son of Farhad Imani and Virginia A Guerra, and much loved brother to Alex and Cameron. He is survived by loving cousins Ally, Eddie, Mahsa, Caroline, Diana, Conner, Abbie, Liam and Ryan. Arman was a graduate of East Chapel Hill HS and attended the University of NC at Wilmington. He was a born naturalist. Arman loved gardening, fishing and exploring the woods for edible mushrooms and other flora. He had a passion for cooking and whipped up eclectic dishes for breakfast and dinner. He loved politics, international relations, and was an ardent supporter of social issues such as fair wages, affordable housing and access to low cost health care. He wanted to change the paradigm on how Substance Use Disorder (SUD) is treated in the US, allowing for a more open spectrum of treatment options. Arman loved animals and they loved him. The one enduring trait that people will remember about Arman was his kindness.

Arman, you will be forever loved and missed by your family and friends and those lucky enough to have known you.

Arman’s family and friends will be hosting a remembrance celebration for him at, Henry Anderson Community Park, 302 N Carolina HWY 54 W, Chapel Hill, NC, Saturday, April 22, 2023, from 11 am-3 pm. Please feel free to bring a dish to share. A private memorial service will take place in New York, July 2023.

In keeping with Arman’s way of life, we ask that in lieu of flowers or gifts, that you convey kindness unto others, especially those who are in need.

Arman and I were best friends, the kind of friends that would go to any lengths to help one another. He was my confidant, my support person, and the one I could count on most. He was a kind, caring, and compassionate soul. When I was struggling, he would make breakfast for us and drive over to my place and we would eat together each morning. He was with me when I found out I was pregnant with my son and I'm so grateful that he was there with me to share that moment. He inspired me to be the best woman and mother I could be. He always knew what I needed to hear even if it wasn't what I wanted to hear. Arman, I hope you have found peace and contentment wherever you are now. I'll love you forever. Until we meet again, I'll cherish you and make sure that Jayden knows how much his Uncle Armie loved him and his mom. Love, Chrystine
