Obituary For Antoine S. Elghossain

Antoine “Tony” S. Elghossain, 68, of Fuquay-Varina, NC, passed away on November 18, 2023 at UNC Rex Healthcare Hospital after fighting several health complications. He was born in Zahle, Lebanon on April 24, 1955, son of the late Sarkis Elghossain and Elene (Achram) Elghossain.

Antoine emigrated from Lebanon to the United States to attend Rutgers University where he graduated with an Electrical & Electronics Engineering degree in 1981. After graduating, he held several roles in telecommunications and business development with Manitoba Telephone Systems, Motorola, Huawei, Anda Networks, and was an entrepreneur managing his own company, IAC, for many years. Throughout his career, he prided himself on doing business with integrity, and valued his relationships above anything else.

Antoine married Nina (Abouzeid) Elghossain on August 31, 1985. They recently celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary. They loved to watch Hallmark movies, travel, cook together, and go to the weekly farmers' market. They enjoyed preparing international recipes, especially Lebanese food, while hosting family and friends.

He was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan as they were “America’s Team” when he first moved to the United States in the 1980s. He loved a good cup of black Colombian coffee in the morning, being in nature, especially by the ocean or a lake, and the Sound of Music movie. One of his favorite memories was traveling with his wife and three children to Lebanon together in 2016. His favorite role was being a father. He was proud of his children as he loved nothing more than spending time with them, whether sharing a meal with them, giving them career or investment advice or cheering them on at their athletic games.

Antoine was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother, Michael S. Elghossain of Zahle, Lebanon.

He is survived by his spouse, Nina, and three children, Danny, Natalie, and Mark. He is also survived by his brother, George (Mona) Elghossain, and sister, Elham Elghossain, nieces and nephew, cousins and friends.

A visitation and funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. respectively on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Saint Sharbel Church, 600 Mt Vernon Church Rd, Raleigh, NC 27614.

We will miss Tony. He treated us like family from the moment he met us. Our last memory with him was a lovely thanksgiving dinner that he made with two turkeys! He was a fun, energetic, enthusiastic man who loved his family. His warm presence made you feel loved and welcome. He was funny, smart and raised a beautiful family. Mocek family

Tony was a great friend, an excellent salesperson, and an even better family man. Every time I spoke to him over the years, he'd first share an accomplishment with me of Natalie, Danny, Mark or Nina and then we'd argue about Trump. May my great friend Rest In Peace.
