Anthony Joseph Gargano, Jr 36 of Raleigh NC, passed away early in the morning of December 20, 2022 at Rex UNC Hospital in Raleigh. He was at peace holding his father’s hand. Anthony was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on December 5, 1986, son of Lucille and Anthony Gargano Sr.

Anthony was a graduate of Archbishop Alter High School, Kettering, Ohio . He attended and graduated Wake Tech were he received an associate degree in accounting. He finished his education in 2019 when he Graduated from North Carolina Central University, summa cum laude, with a BS in Business.

Anthony loved to play soccer and golf. He also loved hiking, video games, and was a sneaker head. He was an avid collector of comic books.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his beloved sister, Amanda Tommerson, brother-in-law, Colin Tommerson, nieces Lucia and Magnolia of Raleigh, NC, Uncle, Robert M Gargano, MD of Brookhaven, NY, Aunt Charlene Andersen of Danbury CT and several cousins.

A celebration of life will be held in January 2023. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Anthony to The Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina www.foodbankcenc.org or Saint Jude’s Childrens Hospital www.stjude.org.
