Anne Relle, 82, formerly of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2014, at Glenaire Retirement Community in Cary, North Carolina. Anne was born in Long Branch, New Jersey, to the late Edward and Helene Keehan O’Brien on June 16, 1931. She is preceded in death by her husband, Matyas Relle, M.D., and her sister, Ellen O’Brien Clough.

Anne graduated from St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing, Trenton, NJ in ¬¬¬¬1952 and was a surgical nurse in Monmouth County, New Jersey, and Baltimore, Maryland. She was married on August 29, 1954, and raised her family in Herlong, California, Killeen, Texas, and Ellicott City, Maryland, where she lived until the death of her husband. She was a resident of Charlesbrooke Community in Baltimore from 1983 until 2009 and was employed from 1987 to 1992 as a pediatric nurse in the Towson, Maryland, office of Dr. Annie Bestebruertje.

Anne is survived by her children, Maureen (Rainer) Schandert of Raleigh, North Carolina, Brian (Mary Lou) Relle of Potomac, Maryland, and Paul (Tracy) Relle of Hopkinton, Massachusetts; her grandchildren, Alexander and Laura Schandert, Katherine, Elizabeth, and Margaret Relle, and Matthew, Elisabeth, William, and Emma Relle; her niece, Tara (Michael) Avallone, and grandnephew, Hunter, of Monmouth Beach, New Jersey; her sister-in-law, Eva Relle of Gyor, Hungary; her niece, Ava (Mike) Gegenheimer; and her nephews, Ferenc Jr. (Candace) Relle, and Dr. Attila (Kim) Relle.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, June 12, at 10:00 am at the Glenaire Retirement Community Chapel, 4000 Glenaire Circle, Cary, North Carolina 27511. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery, West Friendship, MD on Friday, June 13, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your local chapter of the American Lung Association, American Cancer Society or Hospice or to Glenaire Retirement Community.
