Mrs. Anne Major, 92, of Raleigh, North Carolina peacefully passed away on April 9, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Anna and Michael Konudick of Syracuse, New York.

Anne was born on February 12, 1932 and attended the public schools of Syracuse, New York. After graduating from high school, Anne became a dental assistant where she worked until relocating to Poughkeepsie New York where her husband pursued a career at IBM. In 1970, she and her family relocated to Raleigh, N.C. where she remained until her death. She was united in matrimony to William E, Major in October of 1952. This union was blessed with four children. William preceded her in death in 1986.

Her life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children, Ms. Patricia Carraway of Raleigh, NC; Mrs. Kathleen Schroeder and husband Tom of Apex, N,C, Mr, William M Major and wife Linda of Seattle Washington and Mrs. Lisa Hendrick and husband Mark of Wilmington NC. She will forever be missed by her nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service will be held Monday, April 22 at 11:00, at Renaissance Funeral Home. With her contagious smile and gift to gab, Anne never met a stranger who didn't become a friend. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
