Obituary For Ann Marie Janeski

Ann Marie Janeski, 85, previously of Fredericksburg, VA, died on October 2, 2019 in Raleigh, NC, after a lengthy struggle with vascular dementia. She was born in Scranton, PA, on April 15, 1934 to Joseph and Anna Jordan.

Ann Marie was married for 37 years to Edward Janeski, until his death in 1994. Also preceding her in death was her brother, Joe Jordan, and her sister, Mary Ruddy.

Ann Marie’s livelihood, pride and joy, was her family. She was a devout Catholic, actively involved in her community, enjoyed crafting, and loved dancing with her husband. She also enjoyed her annual beach trips with her cousins, as well as her family reunions. Ann Marie loved her family more than anything, and surrounded herself with pictures and memory collages of her time with them. She is survived by her “baby sister,” Kathy (husband, Marty) Holleran.

She is lovingly remembered by her four children, Edward (Heidi), Mary (Tim) Reilly, Nancy (Tom) Ranes, and Kathryn (Allen) Jett. She is also survived by her ten grandchildren: David, Brian, Renae, Maura, Maddie Jo, Nancy, Eddie, Michael, Maggie, and Patrick; five great-grandchildren, Addison, Lucas, Reilly, Ethan, and Caroline, beloved cousins, nieces and nephews, and the support of very dear friends.

A viewing and visitation will be held at the Renaissance Funeral Home, 7615 Six Forks Rd, Raleigh, NC 27615 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 4, 2019.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church located at 12333 Bayleaf Church Rd, Raleigh, NC 27614, at 11:00 a.m. with an additional visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 5th.
