Angelique Terracina Hunter, 47 of Raleigh, NC, died on May 15, 2025 at Transitions Hospice Home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Port Author, TX on May 4, 1978, daughter of James and Rita Terracina.

Angelique went to elementary school in Port Author, and moved to Raleigh at age 11 where she continued her education. After Graduating from Leesville Road high school, she attended Meredith College, earning a BA in Psychology and then her K-6 educator’s license. Angelique began teaching 1st Grade at Saint Raphael Catholic School in 2002 for 7 years through 2008. After a 2-year break, she returned to teaching, this time teaching transition kindergarten at Saint Rapheal’s Early Childhood Center from 2010-2015 for 6 years.

Angelique married Scott Hunter on September 21, 2002, they would have celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary this year. Scott and Angelique enjoyed going to the beach, NC State sporting events and supporting their children in their various endeavors (baseball, basketball, XC, drama and horseback riding). Their most fond memory besides their children was their vacation to Bermuda in 2003.

Angelique loved unconditionally and had an enormous heart. She was always there for her family, pets, friends (even those she had just met), and her students. She was a devout Catholic, loved listening to K-Love, reading the bible and helping with Free Mom’s at NC State.

Angelique was proceeded in death by her mother, Rita (2021).

She is survived by her spouse, Scott and her 2 children son Ryan and daughter Ava both of Raleigh, NC. She is also survived by her father James (Cheryl) Terracina of Franklinton, NC; sister Alicia (Jonathan, Shyanne, Grahm) Kimrey of Wilmington, NC; brother Adam (Kathleen, Julia, JJ, and Mason) Terracina of Raleigh, NC, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 24 2025, at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church, 12333 Bayleaf Church Road, Raleigh, NC 27614. Family and Friends are welcome to a gathering with refreshments immediately after the service.
