We regret to tell you of the passing of our brother, Andrew (Andy) Barnett, on Friday, October 4, 2024, from complications of Parkinson's disease. Andy was born in 1955 in Baltimore, Maryland. His family moved to Raleigh, NC, in 1966. Andy graduated from Sanderson High School in 1973. he attended NC State University, graduating in 1983 with a B.S. in Mathematics and B.S. in Computer Science. Andy worked and lived in North Carolina as a software engineer/consultant for various companies.

Andy rode and completed in bicycle racing, finishing 5th in his division in the North Carolina championships when he was 18 years old. He enjoyed flying kites, playing with his cats, telling corny jokes, and visiting with friends and relatives. He loved building and repairing computers.

Andy was a good friend and brother and will be missed.
