Amy Jean Strazzella Lee 55, of Apex, North Carolina, passed away on October 14, 2021, at home with her husband, Matt, by her side. We rejoice now that she has shed the weight and pain of her body after a long and relentless pursuit to heal her breast cancer and is doing what she loves best: singing, but now with angels as her back up. She was the beloved youngest daughter of Henry and Jean (Hockensmith) Strazzella . Amy was born on July 12, 1966, in Hanover, Pennsylvania. She attended Delone Catholic High School and was a graduate of Elizabethtown College with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Therapy. Amy worked as a Music Therapist, Realtor, lead singer for Six Cents, a local Hanover band and recently had her own business doing Home Staging and Design. Amy, always a positive person, had an innate knack for creating friendships wherever she went, especially with those who needed a friend the most. She saw the best in everyone and wanted the best for them. She was known as a passionate, direct and spirited person; she was amazingly creative, spontaneous and loved performing. Amy, always the first to try new things, was fearless in her many endeavors. She enjoyed socializing and participating in various activities with her family and friends such as camping, traveling and long evenings of card playing. She was no stranger to long walks with her adored dogs, playing tennis and volleyball, and decorating. Most recently she was able to entertain her passion for crafting. Amy often saw things in a different light and brought energy and spunk to everything throughout her life. “Regardless of everything, I have no regrets.” -Amy, 9/15/21 She was married to her soulmate, Matthew Kar Chung Lee, on November 1, 1998. She was a loving and dedicated mother to three boys: Chase Matteson 21, Tanner Jaxson 19, and Gavin Henry 17; the loves of her life. She was the favorite sister of Lisa and Bert Elsner (Hanover, PA), Beth and Wolf Trummer (Hanover, PA), Tony and Rene’ Strazzella (East Aurora, NY), and Maria and Stratis Narliotis (Bala Cynwyd, PA). She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and the many friends and acquaintances who touched her life and supported her throughout her journey. A Memorial Gathering (Visitation) will be held between the hours of 5:30 - 8:30 PM on Friday, October 29, 2021, at Renaissance Funeral Home, 7615 Six Forks Road, Raleigh, NC 27615.
