Alisa lived next door to my mom in Southern Pines. Every time I went home I was always greeted by a sweet smile and wave from Alisa (and an occasional bark from Ginger!) My mom recently passed from COVID as well and Alisa was quick to jump into action with whatever we needed. It was nice just knowing she was there. I spent extra time in Southern Pines and so enjoyed getting to know Alisa. What a beautiful soul that I know will be so missed by many, especially her daughters. Love and peace to all. However your mom will always be in your heart and soul. She planted the seeds in you to be strong courageous women since your birth. She was one of the people I admired most in this world. Because to know Alisa Greenberg was to admire her. I met her when I transferred schools in 6th grade and she took us outsiders in. After she moved to NC, we reconnected over FB and she was just a constant force. Her grace, gratitude, grit, openness, positivity, passionate and consistent commitment to her principles and her generosity were extraordinary as was her immeasurable love for her beautiful daughters, her friends, her mom, dad, brother and her nephew. She was a bright light when anyone she knew was struggling and despite some darkness in her own life. She just rose above, always challenging herself, not others. But by doing so, her growth and understanding inspired us all. She was stylish, gorgeous, a chameleon for hairstyles, none ever looked bad on her, an incredible athlete always sharing training tips and sneaker recommendations with me, a voracious reader, always recommending books to me that I loved, as happy raising a glass of wine to cheer a friend as she was sipping wine enjoying a book on Sunday and had the most beautiful eyes. We both loved Jack White. She was a champion for people who needed the strength of her voice and the clarity of her intellect. I truly believed we'd get that destination race in. My broken heart goes out to her family. The only comfort is that I know her daughters know how much she treasured them and that she knew how much they loved and appreciated her. "Thanks to the human heart by which we live, Thanks to its tenderness, its joys, and its fears, To me the meanest flower that blows can give Thoughts that do often lie too deep for tears." Her loss is unfathomable. I'm so terribly sorry for your loss.

I'm extremely thankful for the brief, yet rewarding opportunity I had to work with Alisa over the last few months. Being a new member of the team, I greatly appreciated her genuine desire to get to know her coworkers beyond the 9-5. She will be greatly missed. My sincere condolences to her family and friends, especially her daughters; she never missed an opportunity to talk about her latest adventures with them.

Emily, Hannah and your entire family, words cannot convey how very sorry I am for the loss of your mom. She was one amazing lady, one I admired not only for believing in her values so strongly, and how incredibly strong a woman she was, but for how much she loved her family beyond measure. We were neighbors, friends, Bunco Buddies...She helped me through a really difficult time some 10 years ago (although I think we really helped each other), going through a similar life event, but we were there for each other very frequently and she helped me to channel the negative into positive and I began a training journey with her that would last for a few years. She helped me to believe in myself and that anything was possible. She would never know how much she impacted my life to this day, but she impacted it immensely. She was a beautiful human and the world is just a little emptier with her gone. My deepest condolences and sympathies go out to all of you. Sending you much love.
