Obituary For Alexander Sim Mitchell

Alexander Mitchell, 88, of Raleigh, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday morning. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Shirley; son, Shaun Mitchell, of Cary; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Jeff Flake of Raleigh; daughter and son-in-law, Dara and Rich Wallen of Southport; and five grandchildren: Sawyer, Grayson, Hope, Sarah and Bella. He is also survived by his sisters, Alice Jude of Raleigh, Gina Lyon of Michigan, and Ruth Mitchell of Winston-Salem, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by their son, Mark Alexander Mitchell. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6pm-8pm at Renaissance Funeral Home located at 7615 Six Forks Road in Raleigh. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Greystone Baptist Church, 7509 Lead Mine Road, Raleigh, NC, 27615.

    I was so sorry to hear that alex was no longer with us. May your cherished memories help ease the pain within your heart. When there seems to be no way, let God guide you. Let him lead you. Let him hold you in his strong loving arms. For each new day, God will make a way for you.
