Obituary For Alan "Al" Bernard Przytulski

Alan “Al” Bernard Przytulski, 78, of Raleigh, NC passed away peacefully at home on April 16, 2025, with his family praying at his bedside.

Al was born in Dearborn, Michigan on December 29, 1946 to Anthony Przytulski, Jr. and Leocadia Przytulski, both of whom predeceased him.

Al was raised in Detroit, MI with his younger brothers, Gordon (Julia), Mickey (Gail), Tim and Tony (Sharon) Przytulski. He attended grade school at Epiphany where he met his future wife, Phyllis (Klovos) Przytulski in 3rd grade. He graduated from Mackenzie High School in 1964. He was drafted into the Army during the Vietnam War. After serving his time, he married Phyllis Barbara Klovos on June 22, 1968 and began their life together, welcoming four children through the years.

Al spent his life in Michigan, Texas, Ohio, Florida, and for the longest stretch, North Carolina, which he called home since 1991. Friends and family will recall Al as a fun-loving individual, a diligent hard-working telecommunications data technician and handyman. He was a selfless person who would go to great lengths for others. He consistently demonstrated a willingness to lend assistance and was deeply committed to serving St. Luke's as parishioner for 31 years, a member of the Knights of Columbus and doing different types of building or maintenance at the church for many of those years.

Al is survived by his wife of almost 57 years, Phyllis; his children Angela Benestad (Leif), Aaron Przytulski (Tasha), Sandy O'Neill (Matt), and Scott Przytulski (Allison); his beloved 9 grandchildren Destiny Przytulski, Ashley Przytulski, Kyle Przytulski, Zachery Przytulski, Brooke Benestad, Trevor O'Neill, Noah Przytulski, Breanna O'Neill, and Keira O'Neill.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Luke Catholic Church, 12333 Bayleaf Church Road, Raleigh, NC 27615 on Wednesday, April 30th at 2:00 p.m. Inurnment to immediately follow at the columbarium on site.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that Masses and prayers be offered for Al's soul.
