Obituary For Patricia "Pat" Seibert Beach

Patricia “Pat” Beach, 90, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2021, in Raleigh, NC.

Pat was born in Westwood, NJ on March 20, 1931, to George and Gladys Seibert. She grew up in Oradell, NJ, the oldest of 3 girls. She graduated from William Paterson University in New Jersey with a degree in Education in 1953.

Pat married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Bob Beach, on June 20, 1953. His careers in the military and business led them on many adventures together as they lived in different places throughout the US. They particularly loved their years in Charleston, WV and Allendale, NJ where they made many wonderful friends and memories. Together, they loved collecting and refinishing antiques.

Pat was a dedicated and passionate teacher. Primarily, she taught kindergarten and 2nd grade. Her favorite lesson was a unit on the life cycle of the monarch butterfly, complete with caterpillars she caught. Her students were fascinated by the eclosion of the butterfly.

Pat and Bob retired to their favorite place, Quonochontaug, Rhode Island. Pat enjoyed playing tennis, “beach sitting”, and “ocean floating” with her friends. She also loved playing bridge and traveling. In their later years, they moved to the Searstone community in Cary, NC, to be closer to their children.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Bob. She is survived by her two children, Becky Enterline and her husband, Dave, of Raleigh, NC; and Jim Beach and his wife, Melinda, of Anderson, SC; and four grandchildren, Katherine Wood and her husband, Ryan, of Houston, TX; Rob Enterline and his wife, Olivia McHugh of Brooklyn, NY; Tripp Beach of Columbia, SC; and Alec Beach of Columbia, SC.

Pat will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A private celebration of life will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Pat’s memory may be made to the hospice organization, Transitions LifeCare at transitionslifecare.org.
