Marie Dolores Flynn passed away on December 17, 2020 at the age of 88. She was born on January 22, 1932 in Digby, Nova Scotia.

She lived in Norfolk, Massachusetts for nearly fifty years before moving to North Carolina.

She was predeceased by her husband of over fifty years, Russell Deacon Flynn.

She is survived by her daughter Susan and husband Joseph Izatt of Raleigh, and grandchildren Elizabeth, Gregory, and Daniel.

Marie cherished her time with her friends and cats. She took great pride in the years she spent teaching Sunday School at the Federated Church of Norfolk.

A private graveside service at the Norfolk Cemetery is planned for the spring.

The family would like to thank the staffs of Stay at Home Senior Care, Falls River Village and the Duke Hospice-Hock Family Pavilion for the loving care given to Marie at the end of her journey.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be sent to the Federated Church of Norfolk or the charity of your choice.
